No. He was always a douche, he would get antsy or belegerant or indignant about something and then cool off for a bit.

I don't know if his trading actions and decision was a result of the warning for trolling a new member.

AgrusKos

I don't know gorzo has a point

BlackJester

Well, whatever his situation is, it doesn't justify stealing hundreds of dollars worth o cards from honest folk of this forum.  We all have stresses. You cope.

And I really doubt anyone hacked his account.

AgrusKos

True. If I hacked an account. It would be someone everyone liked like Bj

Maybe, but it looked like to me he got a lot worse the last couple weeks before he Houdini'd on you guys with your stuff. The troll warning surely cheesed him off, but I can't imagine it being a trigger for all this. At most just a straw on that camel's back.

BlackJester

He seemed to go through phases. Be ok of a while, then pipe up about something and the settle down again.  I tried to be friendly when he was being decent. 😏 #whadyado?

I mean, for all we know, he could just be on a trip. But if that's the case, he should have responded to PMs when he came on.

RevanJJ

From what I was told, he set up many low value trades and did them fast then did a ton of big trades in a short time after trust established and disappeared. Sounds like a set up  scam, theft scheme to me.

BlackJester

Well, he'd been around for some time. He actually helped to create the Wall Games section, he had over 2000 posts and he did try to help some people with decks (in a Kuberr sort of way).

Not exactly "stick and move" behaviour.

I suspect that things were going decently, then he got frustrated, got a warning and figured "Screw this!  If I'm going, I may as well burn this bridge and get some stuff before I get banned."
Just my reading, I could be way off base (and I truly hope I am)

Maximo

Kuberr was Gary Oak (from the games, the Gary in the show was cool)

Have you guys talked to pitor abought it he seems pretty hands on with the app and with such a big thing he might be of help.

Jester has Kuberr pegged ... he was unpredictably hot and cold.  If his account was hacked why would he give out the same name and address to mail to?  And he would have responded to my first email I sent a few days ago .... not the one I just posted.  I think all this was his game plan from the start .... establish a trusted name and get a bunch of huge trades at the end then vanish.

This really does suck. There have been a few trades I would love to do but I am worried about getting Kuberr'd.

You just don't know.

IMO, and that is based only off the post I have read made by Kuberr, he would be one that I would want to avoid. He seemed to be argumentative just for the sake of it.

When I mentioned about the SCG Legacy Open in DC, I meant its likely he was there to compete. As such, if you have his name, you can see him listed as well as his deck. Not much help other than to see if he has the cards (not a guarentee, he could be running a deck without the high value cards). Then again, he should be back now if he flew back home (who in their right mind would drive from Arizona to Washington DC?).

If I hadn't gotten my first trade done before, I would feel the same way
