I overheard people talking about it and was curious. What kind of control deck doesn't run blue? Ik this is showing off how much of a noob I am, but I had never heard of this kind of deck before, so I was curious, what would this kind of deck look like?
P.S. not sure if this is in the right section Or not, but it was worth a shot.

W/r/b could work,

Plenty of removal, no card drawing though Or counter magic

I used google but I'm not quite seeing any win condition(other than { liliana's caress} which has been called a bad idea repeatedly. How would this kind of deck win?

You use {duress} {mind rot} and {liliana of the veil} to mess with their hand and take away their power. Then you play your good stuff and win the game.

Kaleo42

It's similar to most UB control builds, mess with them till they arent a threat and then beat face with the most threating and value creature you can find or when via some effect (which in black usually means they lose life for silly things like casting, drawing, discarding, etc.)

I dot think {Lillian careress} is a bad idea in a deck. Just make sure you have card draw for your opponent that way your not sitting with a hand full of discard spells and they have an empty hand.

Most control decks have blue. Mainly for card draw, but there is other forms of control.
Black-creature kill, field wipes, some card draw, and discard
White-some creature removal({path to exile}),field wipes, and artifact/enchantment removal
Red-burn, some card draw, and artifact removal
Green-only artifact/enchantment removal
All colors have Planeswalkers which all play different roles in control decks; most cases it's a win condition. Now all these colors do get paired with blue for different types of control, but there is also BR, mono-black, WB, WBR, GB, GBW, and GBR. When these colors are paired with blue it is usually for a win condition. What I listed are what each color has to offer for control. I hope this helps a little.

Examples of non blue legacy control would be:

Mono white stax
43 lands
Mono black control

It's what MBC stands for, mono black control. It's not viable in standard from what I understand but it was popular in legacy or something. I'm out of touch with most of the magic world but it consists of discard, creature sacrificing, and negative counters on creatures for the indestructible. Win cons are {drain life}, {exsanguiate}, {corrupt}. Stuff like that.

It's not viable in standard...
Oh so very wrong.

We have {Obliterator} and {Vampire Nighthawk}, {Liliana of the Veil}, {Duress} and {Despise}. Before I give you my whole decklist, let's just stop there. It is very viable, give me a couple months for tweaks and it will be top tier.

Dont forget {shimain specter} or wutever its called

Oh of course! He's pretty cool =] I've been on the fence about him though... I might run 2 {Mutilate} instead of 2 of him...
