I have an iPad and iPhone, both with iMTG installed. If i back up to Dropbox from one, can I restore to the other and vice versa without busting anything?

I.e. I'd like to manage my collection on both... Backing up after making changes, and making sure I pull down the latest backup before doing anything on the other device.

And yes, I realise there's potential for screw ups if I make changes without making sure its the latest.

What would be cool would be the ability to keep devices synced with e.g. a Dropbox stored central copy, independent of backups...

Yes you can manage it as you described. Proper iCloud syncing is obviously on my TODO.
