I wouldn't invest in DTT unless you plan on playing them now. The ban dig train is slowly rolling along and hopefully the monstrosity will be out of legacy soon.

I wouldn't worry so much about that. Besides, if it does get banned in Legacy, I doubt it will become bulk, and if it does, OP's only lost out on, like, $4 per Dig.

I'm building an esper dragon shell for when BTZ comes out and I don't want to spend that much money on 4 cards. Is there anywhere I could buy them for less than 5 bucks a pop

You can check TCGPlayer to see if there are any sellers who are selling for less (including shipping). You run the risk of buying from less reputable retailers, but that's not necessarily going to be an issue.

But what you have to realize, though, is that $5 isn't actually expensive for a single card. That same $5 probably buys you a fast food meal, but the Dig will last you longer than that meal ever will. If you're intending to build a competitive deck, you're not going to get anywhere unless you're willing to forfeit a couple of McDonald's meals for some singles.

Yeah, I thought hangar back walker was too expensive for 1.99. I'm such an idiot
