I think it costs far too much mana.  Yes, it does give you 3 black after, but if you do cast it, you are just begging for a counterspell to hit you.  and you have to cast it while you are comboing off.  I have used infernal tutor on t2 to find another ritual then combo t3.

As for removing xantid swarm, like 50+% of legacy decks have fow.  I really like having them in.  I like the 1 of rain of filth for a {dark ritual} plus maby a little more.

Usually a sideboard card since its dead against the 49-% that don't have FoW. Minimizing dead cards is super important in storm and having xantid requires a whole other color in main board.
