{Dark Supplicant} a bunch of clerics, but no {Scion of Darkness}? Also I assume the theme is to just run the opponent down with either a bunch of 1's and 2's with/without swampwalk or {Profane Prayer}?

{Sign in Blood} could be a card that can be added if you need card draw.

No planeswaker? I think that a deck should always have a planeswaker at its front... Although I guess for a pure black deck the main choice would be only Liliana... There really should be more black planes walkers. But a good combo you could use for pure black would be Exquisite Blood and Sanguire Bond.

Planeswalkers are good for two things: Their most versatile ability (whether it is a + or -) and being a target. In my play group they've been playing since the game came out, or shortly after so they see a Planeswalker hit the field you normally get one maybe two uses out of it before its gone. As well as planeswalkers should go with the idea of the deck. I wouldn't put Garruk in an elf tribal deck unless I had some tie in to his abilities. I just so happen to use {Garruk, Primal Hunter} in an elf only deck because it runs {Ivy Lane Denizen}, {Wirewood Savage}, and {Primeval Bounty}. His +1 ability works with the elves-- not so much the Bounty-- which makes him reasonable to be in the deck. If I didn't have those in the deck I would take him out immediately.

I'm not freaking out about it or anything, but I have a friend that thinks the same as you and he can never keep a Planeswalker out to make it the most efficient it can be. I'd suggest looking at LinkCelectrial's "Superfriends" deck in the "modern" section if you're thinking of a deck along those lines.

This thing is actually just a tribal I put together quite a while back.
Main wincons unblockable {vile deacon} and {profane prayers}.
Only reason scion is not there, is because I don't have it.
And yeah, no pw. I got loads of cards and I like building decks. Got about 25-30 casuals ready to play. (Pretty janky ones too). I can't afford to put a pw in every one.
Pretty much only if I build around it. (At M15 prerelease I hit 2 Garruk, he got a deck).

As far as Planeswalkers are concerned not every deck should have one. I'd be all over having one in every deck I own. But they're not always going to fit.

First off they're super cool. Second they sponge damage. Third, most of them are game changingly good if they stick around. An unchecked {Elspeth, Sun's Champion} will win you the game 9/10 times.

In this deck you could throw in a Liliana or {Sorin Markov}, but they don't really fit the theme. And like Kaylesh said, money is real. xD

I could see me sticking a Markov in, -3, then casually toss a {profane prayers} or {vile deacon} attack (you knew that Nyx was actually a swamp right?). GG.
