Can {distaibfuk stroke} hit {hooded hydra} on the stack if cast for x=2 or more?

The x value will be taken into account on the stack. You can {disdainful stroke} a {hooded hydra} if x makes the cmc four our more.

Ok then. Me and my friend where not quite sure how that would play out. The whole cmc with X is confusing for both of us
