Example: I have a {Battlewise Hoplite} on the field with an {Ordeal of Thassa} attached to it. My opponent casts  {End Hostilities} during his main phase and I respond with  {Valorous Stance} Targeting battlewise. Now he will survive but will the ordeal be destroyed nonetheless?
