Does the ability of this artifact count as casting a creature. For example, Emrakul when casted gets an extra turn, would this work or no?

A card is only cast if it is played from your hand through normal means. Amulet provides an alternate way for the card to enter the battlefield, so it not a normal means of playing the card, therefore it is not cast.
