why is {Palinchron} Worth so much and not {Peregrine Drake}

What is in the 2 mana difference?

I know the combo with {Deadeye Navigator}

Remillo

If you have something that doubles your mana ({High Tide}, {Caged Sun}, etc.), it goes infinite with its own return ability.  You can also search it up with something like {Fierce Empath}.

So it's because the bird is to small?
More because it goes infinite with mana doublers

{Peregrine Drake} and {Palinchron} are the same with {Deadeye Navigator}.

If you have double mana lands (via. {Caged Sun}, {Extraplanar Lens}, ect.) then {Palinchron} can return itself to your hand be cast again, netting extra mana each time.

The price difference is with the added utility of {Palinchron} and it's placement on the Reserve List. {Peregrine Drake} is an uncommon and was reprinted in Planechase 2012.

Both creatures cause mana gain when flickered
Bird gains 3
Palinchrin gains 5
Bird is 2 turns faster to cast
Palinchron can hide itself in the hand

Does that mean a palinchron that can return to the hand is worth 30 drakes in the bush?

Absolutely

They're just different...{Palinchron} can work with different mana increasers AND blink engines. If that's worth something to you then it's worth doing. One isn't strickly better then the other, it just all depends on what you're doing. The Reserve list makes playable cards cost more, I don't think that if {Palinchron} was on the list it'd be worth more then $2.50.
