Can I equip and enchant my own creatures who have Hexproof or does Hexproof prevent me from also targeting my own creature?

No, you can target your own hexproof creatures. The ability specifically says "Can't be the target of spells or abilities your OPPONENTS control". Super awesome. There is a no-exceptions version, Shroud. {Lightning Greaves}
