I don't know about it guys, but with this new change, I'm just glad to be a part of something big. I will be able to look at new players one day, and say to them "remember when blocks had three sets apiece, and there was a yearly set called the "core set", and only one block came out a year!" That's exciting to me. I'm a fairly new player. I started around the time of Gatecrash, and started playing competively the week Theros came out. This is certainly a bigger change than I thought that I would see I'm my time of playing.

Just thought I'd share how cool this is to me.

I remember a time when there were no blocks nor core sets, so this will be the second time this has happened to me. Long live old-school frames!!!

Back in my day they had Mana Burn and there were no rules.

And damage used the stack... And before the stack it was the batch

You could block with a {Mogg Fanatic}, have it deal it's damage and the sac it for another point of damage. Fanatic players cried when the rules changed.

The summer of hate... Brought to you by  {Mogg Fanatic} and  {Hatred}... How I hated that deck

Who remembers Wall of Boom? {Wall of Roots}+{Magma Mine}+{Stasis} used to deal infinite damage because {Wall of Roots} didn't die to state-based actions immediately and you could do it between turns.

rarehuntertay

Or how you didn't die until the end of phase if your life dropped below zero? This sounds like an old-timers convention...

I miss mana burn and tapping your opponents lands. Not just to stop them from using it later in a turn, but forcing them to try and use the mana or take damage.

Munchlax

And remember when dinosaurs walked the earth? Those times were craaazy. Me and the brontosauruses would have some wild games. Until that {Old Fogey} showed up with his hundreds of abilities.

I really miss mana burn... And banding 😃

Lol, binding really isn't that complicated and it is kind of intuitive, but the "Rules" turned it into an 400 page explanation.
