God + harness by force

How Does  {Harness by Force}  work with a god that has enough devotion to make it a creature on my opponents field but not mine?
My opponent argued that as I did not have enough  devotion to keep it a creature that the spell fizzled.

You get it, then it loses creature status and get it back at the end of turn.

but on the bright side, your enchantment has haste...

So just to be clear. I keep it, but only as the enchantment form, until end of turn. Like i would any normal creature.
