I had ruling at FMN when I had two {Kalonian Hydra} out each with 4 +1/+1 counters and both attacking judge ruled both would end with 8 each. Now my question is would they not double then double again to make the end result 16 counters on each hydra?

Yes it should have been 16 and not 8, they do not resolve at exact time.:) stack

Terrible idea.  Just approach him the next time and explain that his ruling was wrong and politely explain why.  Judges are only human and we do make mistakes from time to time.  The only thing we can do is learn from our mistakes so that we don't make them again.

But that is an obvious one to miss.. Just sayin

A judge who doesnt get the stack? Cmon..

In general referees/judges dont get held to a high enough standard in general, referencing my entire high school sports career. They just dont have to be good, its annoying. Just sayin

It's totally possible to pass an L1 exam (if the person was certified) and still get something like that wrong.  Stranger rulings have happened.  Judges make bad calls just as players make bad plays.  All we can do is be told that we were wrong and learn from it.  My first Competitive event where I judged, I botched the first call of the day, hard, and it sticks out as a thing I'll never get wrong again

I know im not saying to crucify him im just lamenting that it seems to me that the standards arent upheld(mainly talking about referees but its almost synonymous)

MisterJH

In my area if you speak to the official(even not to argue, just at all) you either just told to go away or get an immediate penalty. Also regularly(i mean MULTIPLE instances a game) blatant penalties are simply ignored. For instance(i play lacrosse) one teammate had a lacrosse stick between his legs in his balls and the defending with his stick up there held him like that for i .poo. you not 8-10 seconds before throwing him out of bounds. The ref was on that sideline not 15 feetfrom the penalty watching the entire time. He didnt do ANYTHING while my teammates testicles were being pulverized. And thats not uncommon. I understand youre only human but a lot of yall are untrained humans with hardly the slightest bit of knowledge about the game

MisterJH

Nothig against you obviously, different sports and i dont know you :)
