Need help with this!!!

BaBa BLaCkSHeeT

You have 13 lands that come in tapped or for colorless mana which is over half your lands. I'd consider the mana base first and then focus more on what you hope to accomplish with the deck to make more copies of cards for consistency.

If you open a game with 3 lands that's great but if their all colorless you're screwed.

ibtrickey

Mana suggestions then?

Sparkle Ninja

I recommend no {Thespian Stage} and to just make the deck more consistent

ibtrickey

I did thespian because it can become mutavault or blood crypt, swamp, or the guildgate.. Helps out a bunch

MisterJH

Honesty just throwing in like 5 mountains would do wonders, instead of gates and thespian and all that jazz

Probably even 3 would be good if you keep a couple gates and blood crypt

MisterJH

Also nykthos is kind of not necessary, especially not 2

You dont have anything to ramp into

MisterJH

Undercity informer isnt useful in this deck, you could replace it with more removal to good effect

Also you might want to take out crypt ghast for more humans so that xathrid necromancer stays a force, because as stated before i dont see much for you to ramp into

Killing glare would do well to be replaced by {devour flesh} or the destroy target mono colored creature card.. Uhhh.. Brain blank

Edit: {ultimate price}

CommanderUnderSorin

What's the win conditions?
I don't know if your new at deck building, which is cool if you are ! :)
But the removal aspect is good, but at fnm it's harsh and you will be playing 500$ decks and maybe a more aggressive stand point will help:)

MisterJH

Well im assuming he also doesnt have access to playsets of all the best cards(which is all standard is unfortunately, pick 1-3 colors and throw in a playset of the best 2-3 cards of each color, its brutally boring and unoriginal)

So im just making realistic suggestions thatll help this deck greatly as is without suggesting 'go mono black devotion cuz standard only has 5 good black cards and if you dont use those you fail'

This isnt an attaxk at you commander im jjst venting my frustration about standard  :o it happens a lot

This is correct

MisterJH

It is correct and its why i think standards a dumb format :p

Every deck is the same 20 cards in different arrangement

However thats not saying we cant make this deck a force to reckon with

ibtrickey

I just really do not have much standard.. I am going to edit it a little though

MisterJH

Yea thats what i figured :/ well a good idea is to take like 20-30$ when a new set comes out and buy playsets of basically all the commons/uncommons, you can spend a lot less if you only get colors youre interested in. Then the only issue after that is tryig to get the rares, but youvan build the majority of most decks just by that investment at the release of a set. Just a lil tip i learned that im going to put in practice probably starting with m15 and the next block
