...but I would like notifications if and when someone responds to my thread.

Did I miss something in the settings?

If you're referring to iOS Badge/Push Notifications, these are not a part of the app but I believe thy are on the app dev's TODO list at a later date.

But there is an email notification system to threads. When you post a comment, look below the subject text box. There's a check box called 'notify me'. Tick that and you'll receive an email everytime a reply to that thread is made.

This is the only notification system in place at the moment.
