Well I guess since the dust has settled, ban hammer put away and hopefully the pitchforks and torches are gone I'm gonna add my opinion again. It's gonna be a long post and take it with a grain of salt(hopefully it will add some insight to someone).

First off, I still disagree with Piotr's first ban in the debate (I came to terms to agree to disagree). I believe if you are in a debate you should not also be able to have the powers of being a moderator of the debate. There were several  other ideas that wear mentioned that I thought should of gotten warning on the debate if warning where going to be given out.

Next, I felt gorzo brought up some valid points about the ban hammer. And he kept it in a social way. A few more people added their opinions waiting for Piotr's response. Piotr responded and most people didn't like what he had to say and took it very personal. Then all hell broke loose. Personal attacks on Piotr and him not responding fast enough for most people so it piled on him. Thus some people did try to keep it a civil discussion but most went at him how they felt he went at the ban(a baby).

Then people keep kept saying the imtg app and forum are one when they are not. Yes the app leads to the forum but the only people who are paying for the forum are the "patrons" title. The two are affiliated but different. Just because you bought the app doesn't mean you pay for the forum. You have to realize the difference.

Now. I appreciate all the people who where on the forum and helped it evolve. From the person who only posted a few times to the members who moved up ranks to help make it what it was a week ago. We have so many different members that worked well together. But we also have a lot of members who have big egos (me especially) and think are opinions are more important then others. Take a breath and step back a minute to digest this. Then think to yourself and this question. What I posted would I say that to a person if I was face to face with them. I think this wouldn't have escalated so fast and hard.

Finally. Let's be honest here. Ask yourself how important are you really to this forum?  Yes you post a lot help out with decks and rules. Or your a mod and you keep things in the right spot or clean up mistakes. Or I'm the creator of this forum and pay to keep it going. Which is the most important and without them would this place start or kept going. Hate to say it but without Piotr we wouldn't be here. Yes he has his quarks, but that's him(I don't condone it) but hay I guess I will deal with it because I like the forum and the people on it. I found out sometimes life isn't fair and you can be 100% right but still not be in the position to do anything. We gave a good fight but you can't always change someone's mind. I have to give a lot of respect to the person who made the new forum. That's actually the most mature thing anyone has done. Competition brings out the best.

In closing I want to thank everyone for their time or time wasted reading this(again it's just my opinion). I'm sad that people felt they had to leave( I understand and wish you luck) I will be staying here (I don't like change).

Well said, but I think the big thing is that the community here is super close, hence them all jumping ship together to a new forum, and they took Abstract's ban as a personal attack. They were very civil and asked for an unban witb a petition, which Piotr rejected (in a way that probably should have been worded differently), and just added fuel to the fire. When others got banned, Mike and Agrus, the situation only got worse. To be honest, it seems like Piotr should've just backed down when the majority of the community signed the petition, it seems like it would have saved a lot of time and held the community together. But Piotr isn't the only one to blame, everyone else could have just acted a little a more maturely. Ultimately, half of the people on the forum are still mad, and I think the only thing that can solve this is to forgive everyone,
