so if i have {Rakdos the Defiler} with  {Illusionist's Bracers} equiped can i copy both parts of the defilers ability and when choosing a new target for the ability does the target get rid of half and then half of whats left or does the target get rid of all of their stuff

i think you can only choose new targets if the original spell uses the word target.

ok and i dont think the target thing would matter because that would make  {Strionic Resonator} less useful

Birdbrain has it correct. And none of Rakdos's abilities target, so choosing new targets is irrelevant.

One his abilities dont target. Two they are triggers not activated abilities. You could use {stionic resonator} to copy the they sac half trigger to make them sac half of whats left after sacing half.
