I'm going to see it Friday I read all of the books also, and same as you, (if it's the same as the book) I have no idea how it's not rated R. When I was reading, I envisioned some pretty violent stuff!

Much gorier movies are rated pg-13 all the time.  I did not think the book was R-rated.  My wife made me read them so we could see them together and both know what's going on.  She wanted me to read those vampire books but I told her NOOO!!!!  I did watch the movies with her tho.
