Magic theory: roon of the hidden realm

I decided that each week, I'll post some wild theory about magic the gathering and let people discuss why they agree or disagree. This week is the commander {roon of the hidden realm}

It says he's the guardian of an ethereal realm. And that he will one day "open the gate to eternal glory"

Wait, what? I know someone out there will probably disagree, but I think that he is from theros. And this ethereal realm is Nyx. This is just a {wild guess} though, sense theros is a block with ethereal beings, and eternal glory seems like it could be somewhere were gods are.
Evidence against this is there arnt any rhox's in theros yet, and the blind eternitys could hold another ethereal plane, or something. Maybe he realy is in the plane that they might do wedges on when they finaly do wedges. I don't know

Protector of a Realm doesn't have to come from said realm, of course. He is the colours that, at least I see as the main good guy colours of Theros...

Huh. I just figured he was from Alara. Although, Bant is more Loxodons than Rhoxs.

It's easily just one we've never heard of. You have to remember each plane is a completely new dimension, the entirety of its history and lore and secrets can't simply be divulged in the amount of information Wizards releases for each block.

So bant interacts with a new plane outside the alara cluster? So can ravnica interact with Mirridon and Zenkidar?

let me help you out here. A good argument for him being from bant would be the ethereal realm would be were the angels of bant reside

Though in that case, he could be from any realm with angels

I don't know much mtg lore. I've only been playing magic since a month or two before Scars rotated out of standard.

Perhaps he is part of a realm that was forgotten when alara was put back together
