How long do your games tend to go with this? I feel it's so hard to race control to zero before their first sphinx's rev.

Well a Sphinx Rev never guarantees a comeback yes it stabilizes them a bit but lots of time they just stay land plus if you play {Boros Charm} and {Legions Initiative} board wipe is tough so Spjinx rev is good (probably the best UW card in Standard) but it by no means means a game loss vs slivers

Yup. When I played against u/w control I sided in {Skullcrack} to prevent life gain from revelation so all my opponent was left with was a butt load of cards in hand.
