Ajani's chosen + bestow

If I am correct in assuming that with {ajani's chosen} out and I cast, say {Observant Alseid} for the creature, I would get a 2/2 cat creature token (please correct me if I'm wrong).  If that is true though, would I be able to bestow the alseid onto the cat token without paying the extra {2}.

You get the cat but you only have the option to enchant said cat if it is cast as an aura.
