Big fan if WoT myself, great series. I'm currently finishing up the Malazan Book of the Fallen series (by Steven Erikson) and it's been really good so far.

For stand alone I would recommend anything by Neil Gaiman (American Gods being a personal Top 5).

I just started Fragile Things after reading every Neil Gaiman graphic novel the library had to offer. The book he wrote with Terry Pratchet is also great.

Speaking of, I've read the first five novels in the Rincewind story arc of the Discworld series. They are highly recommended if you like fantasy interjected with humor.

Also for stand alone reading, I've really been digging Joe Hill lately. His short story collection, 20th Century Ghosts, was great and I can't put down Heart Shaped Box.

If you are talking about Good Omens that is a great read. As for Heart Shaped Box, enjoyed it also.

Sword of Truth by Goodkind was a good read. I was a little disappointed by the ending, felt it was kind of a cop out. That being said "Faith of the Fallen" is one of the best singular books I have read.

Yeah Richards 30 page rant at the end wasn't exactly what I expected. But spot on man, faith of the fallen was an amazing book, probaly one of the most moving novels I've ever read!
