Thought I'd post this under rules too

So I'm looking at the card {gift of immortality} . Want to make sure I've got this right for removal purposes.

"When enchanted creature dies, return that card to the battlefield under its owner's control. Return Gift of Immortality to the battlefield attached to that creature at the beginning of the next end step."

So say in combat creature dies goes to graveyard w/ enchantment. End of combat/damage phase, creature returns to battlefield. Then 2nd main phase. Creature could then be targeted with a removal spell, and go into graveyard. And then @ end step gift of immortality has no valid target and fizzles out.

Am I correct on this from card text?

That's what it looks like. I'd imagine they'd give the opponent some way out against that thing

Can also {Unsummon} the creature and the enchantment would go to the graveyard with no triggers.

 {Supreme Verdict} if he doesn't has voice!

Gift would return to the battlefield, but without a target. I believe that it would stay on the battlefield as well, just wouldn't be attached to anything. Kind of in the lines of how when {Detention Sphere} resolves, you name your target, and then the opponent can flicker them. Det sphere stays on the field cause it resolved, but it didn't actually exile anything.

Hmm. Gift of immortality on a voice would be nice..
Voice would enter gy, get elemental token, voice returns, gets enchantment at end of turn..  Hmm that might be a nice combo.

Isn't gift of immortality black though, 3 color decks are supposed to be very hard to use when theros comes out.  If so yes it's a great idea, but difficult to pull off.

My mistake then, my friend is the spoiler addict, I only look at them once when he posts on Facebook, then I forget about them until the set is released.
