M14 Database problem

Steve-OH!

I updated my database when my friend told me that m14 was up, but I didn't get all of the cards. For example: none of the slivers showed up on my iPod, but they did on my friend's device (iPad). I've tried manually updating the database and still no slivers.

Is there anything I can do to fix this, or do I just need to wait for the next update?

Do you have any kind of filters set up? Also I'd try shutting down the app and starting it back up.

Steve-OH!

Hey, thanks for the reply. It was the filters I had set up. What happened was I filtered the app to show m14 standard cards thinking all of m14 would already be in standard, but now I realize it's not yet.

When does m14 officially replace m13 in standard?

Right now, M14 and M13 are both standard legal. In October, M13 will rotate out.

M14 becomes legal on 19 of July, I believe.

I thought that M12 rotates out now as M14 is released, and Innastrad will rotate out in October with the release of Theros, but M13 will stay until M15 is released.

No.  M12 rotated with the release of RtR.  M13 will rotate with the release of Theros.  M14 will rotate with the release of the next block.

It still is. Innistrad block and M13 will rotate out in September (I think?) with the release of Theros.

This time of the year is the best for standard. We have two blocks and two core sets to pool from.

How?  I am sure that people playing in the FNM standard tournament I play in still used M12 cards.  I would think that one of the forty or so people who go to the tournament would realize that those cards aren't legal.

Reprints?  Lets take {Oblivion Ring} for example. It was printed in M13, but I like the Lorwyn art more, so ill use that one. As long as a card has been printed in a standard set, you can use any version you want.

That's right.  I thought that RtR was rotating out too, leaving only a core set and one block, which was wrong.  There will be two blocks and a core set after M13 rotates.  That makes sense now.
