If a creature on the field is an artifact creature & the creature revealed is an artifact creature,
Is that enough  to allow  {Descendants' Path} ability resolve?

{Descendant's Path} is looking for subtypes - types that appear to the right of the dash in the type line. Artifact (and creature) are supertypes, which appear to the left of the slash, and as bookmeister says, these supertypes don't count as creature types.

Are creature and land supertypes?  I thought they were just called types.  Not that it matters anyway. Just wondering.

Super types are legendary, global, and I think there is one more.

Types are creature, artifact, land, etc.

Subtypes go into more detail about the type, aura, faerie, etc.

Basic I know is a supertype. But yeah. I guess I'm wrong about the others being super. I need to study more practice tests :P

205.4. Supertypes

205.4a A card can also have one or more supertypes. These are printed directly before its card types. The supertypes are basic, legendary, ongoing, snow, and world.

205.4b An object's supertype is independent of its card type and subtype, even though some supertypes are closely identified with specific card types. Changing an object's card types or subtypes won't change its supertypes. Changing an object's supertypes won't change its card types or subtypes. When an object gains or loses a supertype, it retains any other supertypes it had.
