I agree but i don't think he's going  to play this in a competitive environment, thats why I think it's fine to play it!

Well, if it isn't a modern deck, as in adhering to the guidelines according to modern rules/regulations, it should be under casual.

Cause by running vaults, it's not a modern deck.

I did not know it was banned:( why is it? For me that sucks

I don't know the exact reason, outside of all the artifact lands that produce colored mana are banned.

I assume there is some combo that makes them too much to deal with but I haven't been around long enough to witness that first hand.
