Basic idea is to get a {thragtusk} out and keep blinking it to gain massive life and put yourself out of range for most Aggro decks, and then avacyn just seals the deal with flying and indestructible.

Considering that for post DGM so I can have a couple {blood baron of viskopa} as well, but I wouldn't know what to drop

Possibly drop avacyn, sigarda, and call of the conclave for a set of guildmages, a couple blood barons and two more faithmenders? I've preached this all over the place but also heroes reunion with the guildmage and faithmender is a nasty combination

I like sigarda at least as a 1 of because of {devour flesh}, which my meta loves, whereas avacyn is anti verdict. Conclave gives trostani more use and helps t2 vs Aggro. I could drop trostani for the barons and then take conclave and maybe rancor down to 3 for guildmages. If I'm adding black anyhow, what do you think of running {disciple of bolas} as a way to refill my hand?
