An off color card?

I'm thinking of using a selesnya deck but using some chromatic lanterns and {Dragonshift} do you think it would pay off?

Without the  {Chromatic Lantern} it's really a dead draw, it's a pretty cool idea but maybe consider throwing some random duals/mana fixing artifacts in to help too, just in case. Otherwise it's an interesting idea.

With enough shock/dual lands, splashing a third color for a single card is surprisingly easy in the current standard environment. I've done it using {Stomping Grounds}, {Rootbound Crag}s, and a couple {Temple Gardens} to add {Rancor} to my boros deck and retain consistency. It's even still color consistant enough to add in additional green cards from my sideboard with no problem (though I do tend to take a lot of 2's from all of the shock lands).
