*There is already a thread for this, but when I went to reply, the app told me to start a new thread because it had not been posted in for 120 days! OK cool. :)

Post cards that you think are underrated here! I'll start it off.

I think that {Elderscale Wurm} is underrated. His use: a sideboard card against any deck that does not run black, or blue. Example? Against your average boros deck or RDW deck, side it in. Against any deck that relies on burn to kill creatures, this is basically {4}{G}{G}{G}: You win the game. I have tested it at FNM against these types of decks and have not lost a game in which it resolved.

The issue with it is ramping up to it. You will need at least 4 {Farseek} to make this card work. In between 1 mana and 7 mana, stall. Use blockers, lifegain, countermagic, or removal to keep yourself from dying. Once elderscale resolves, sit back and relax. Draw some cards, find your main wincon, and finish.

Usually by the time you get to 7 mana, you should be able to survive and win if you are up against red. But still, elderscale wurm is final. No {Boros Charm} me to death. No combat tricks with double strike. No surprises.

Offen if you play a slower deck, and you face a fast one, you won't have the chance to play your plainswalkers or win conditions, because you are pressured to survive. If you cast {Elderscale Wurm}, you don't have to worry about what happens to your life total next. Unload your hand of all your plainswalkers!

So yeah I just think mr. elderwurm deserves a look by many green midrane/control players in the sideboard slot.

So many shenanigans you can pull with him!

Ps. I looooove {elderscale wurm}!
Unfortunately i dont really play green that much ^^

{Deadbridge Goliath}. Maybe not horribly competitive, but 4 CMC for a 5/5 is ok, then if he happens to die, make that evolved {Elusive Krasis} a bomb!

 {Mutilate} it kills  {Boros Reckoner} and all indestructible creatures and hexproof and it beats  {Boros Charm}

I would have to say that the most underrated card would be..... I guess  {Black Lotus}. I mean i never see it being played at my LGS. 😝

On a more serious note, I've always found that  {Somberwald Sage} is underrated. With other mana dorks, you can have him out turn two, turn three bomb, GG. Though he is easily removable, it makes your opponent waste their removal and gives you an upper hand, overall.

Quackmaster5

And I just found out that this card is only 2 bucks. So I am running to my LGS as we speak to buy them out.

{Thespian's Stage}  there are so many crazy lands out there that do stuff and as long as one is on the field this can become one at will, especially good in commander where lots of players only use nonbasic land if I someone has a  {Maze of Ith} and I want one too ask and ye shall receive

Big time agree here. I think deadbridge will see some play once innistrad and its ridiculous 4-drops rotate out. With {Huntmaster of the Fells} out of the picture, Deadbridge starts looking pretty solid.

I don't understand why  {Huntmaster of the Fells} wasn't legendary. It's got mythic going for it, and the flavor of the card is really legendary feeling.
 Definitely agree with this!

I don't think he'd be as desirable if it were legendary. Part of the appeal is playing multiples and stacking the effects.

MaRo mentioned that they had difficulty making a Werewolf Lord because of the flipping nature and the difficulty of making it feel like a lord. {Mayor of Avabruck} was close, but didn't have that cool lord feeling.
