Skarrg Guildmage, Ambush Commander

If you have an {ambush commander} out, could you turn a forest into a 4/4 elemental with {Skargg guildmage}?

I think the awnser Is yes, but just want to make sure

Yes. As long as the targeted card is a land, you can make it a 4/4. The Ambush Commander says the elves are still land. As to whether it keeps the subtype of elf after becoming the 4/4 elemental (assuming you're targeting a forest), I'm unsure.

Yes you can. Also, it would be just an elemental, because it doesn't say "in addition to its other types".

Yes you can. Also, it would be just an elemental, because it doesn't say "in addition to its other types".

Ah man. I wanted to have an elf elemental. Guess it won't happen, just like tere will probably never be a goblin fairy
