{Hostility} so here is my question: hostility's second ability where it states that a spell I control deals damage I prevent that and put a token into play, now does this include my attacking creatures (not the tokens) or does it mean when the spell comes from my hand

Only things you cast from your hand, as creatures are not considered spells. Cards are only spell while on the stack.

And here's the ruling:

111.1. A spell is a card on the stack. As the first step of being cast (see rule 601, "Casting Spells"), the card becomes a spell and is moved to the top of the stack from the zone it was in, which is usually its owner's hand. (See rule 405, "Stack.") A spell remains on the stack as a spell until it resolves (see rule 608, "Resolving Spells and Abilities"), is countered (see rule 701.5), or otherwise leaves the stack. For more information, see section 6, "Spells, Abilities, and Effects."

A spell such as   {Searing Spear} would be doing damage, and dueto the cards effect you prevent the 3 damage and put 3-3/1 elemental shamans as the cards states. This only applies to sorcerys or instants, not combat damage dealt by your creatures
