I made a deck last night over at my friends house, he had 3 {Memnite}s and an {Etched Champion} and I threw in a bunch of artifacts and playsets of {Galvanic Blast}s/{Lightning Bolt} for some burn, and he had 2 {Energy Chamber}s, which was really nice. The point was to hit Metalcraft and take him down, whether it be through my guys, or my burn. It also helped that he had 2 {Dread Statuary}s so I had mana-sinks if I had nothing better to do, and it gave me more ways to hit Metalcraft. Regardless, making this made me want to make a Metalcraft deck. After he went to bed I jumped on here and went to work, I looked at all of the Standard Artifacts and Metalcraft cards and made a list. (a HUGE list mind you) After some time I got it very close to this, then I thought, wait, there's an extremely sick Artifact pump spell out there! {Tempered Steel}! And I was already running white for the {Glint Hawk} bros and {Dispatch}, so I threw it in, and after tweaking it down to 60 cards, this is what I came up with. Surprisingly, it ended up super close to what the norm. is for {Tempered Steel}. (albeit the fact that most people don't use {Porcelain Legionnaire}) I wanted to put {Chimeric Mass} in so bad, but when it was down to 64, I had to drop 'em. I actually borrowed the {Shrine of Loyal Legions} and {Origin Spellbomb} ideas from one of friend's decks, I remembered him explaining to me why they were essential in mono-white TS. The sideboard came naturally, some hate for certain decks, the basics. Pretty much the only thing I don't have are the {Mox Opal}s, but I can always just throw in more land. The rest is all Commons and Uncommons pretty much.

I really want too! But I don't have a playset and they're a tad bit expensive. Hopefully the Event Decks will make their price drop by a few $.

Yeah. I would start to find copies of the Nexus as they are getting harder to find every day and will be a stalwart in Standard. I'm glad I got my Japanese one for $10.

Greg54js
