It's a free counter spell! And when playing blue, one thing you normally have to look out for is their available mana, but not with this. They can tap out, making you think your spells are safe, and still counter things.

For counterspells, I'll probably always go with {Mana Leak} and play casually simply because it is sooooo annoying to play something big only to have your opponent play mana leak while you only have 2 mana available
