Why do people make a trade

Why does it seem like a common practice for people to make a trade then wait untill a week or so later than say o yes I got to send your cards out. Come on guys don't make a trade if you can't send them out. I make a point to send my cards out next day. I am not trading for cards I don't need so I would aspect u to do me the courtesy too. {rant}.

I agree, but sometimes things happen! I think all of my trades so far, except one, I've sent out same or next day. The one exception was when I didn't realize I was out of envelopes, and it was for a stack of cards so I considered sending in a box would be better. Next day I got a box then realized I had no tape to tape it, and then next day I got tape. I was ready to send out Saturday, but post office was closed, and also closed Sundays. This morning I finally sent my half of the trade, about 5-6 days late. it was entirely my fault but the other guy (Darius) seems fine with it. I wasn't prepared for the trade and realized it after the fact. Not a normal practice for me but it does happen!
