Darksteel Forge won't save them from Dismember

No but the {coat of arms} will save them from dismember. Also I'd also be playing blue bc of using rites and other copies a like so why wouldnt I have counterspells

If you use a populate card on {precursor golem} wouldn't you double your tokens each time?
PS: I know that {rite of replication} is better I just like that there are a lot of useful populate cards and they are at common/uncommon rarity
