Another detain question

When a creature is detained, can I still tap him?  Say if I have the grove out that requires 2 creatures to tap to transform. Can I tap said detained creature.
I think so. Detain doesn't say anything about tapping. Plus the ability is on the grove not detained creature.

Pretty sure you can just like a creature with summoning sickness would be tappable under the same circumstance
