But it's budget. I could see it working with maybe a few {Talrand, Sky Summoner} {Silver-Inlaid Dagger} and {Archaeomancer}.

I get building on a budget, but this is an archetype that doesnt budget too well unless you already have the snaps.

It's doubtful you'll regret buying {Snapcaster Mage}. He will likely be good till next rotation.

Cards like snapcaster are good In more than the current format. Id imagine he'd do pretty good in modern and I have no clue about legacy.
