So...I discovered something somewhat disappointing:

{Scroll of Griselbrand} is the only instant-speed discard tool in standard. :(

I am thinking of running it in my mono black. Assuming I won't have any demons out, should I run it? I think a 2-of might be good for late game to prevent them from playing a good topdeck.

Advice from other discard-savvy and MBC-savvy people?

Well, the instant speed does mean that you probably get to deny them a topdeck late game if they have no hand, assuming they didn't draw an instant. Let's rephrase the card:

"{1}, Sacrifice Scroll of Griselbrand: If target player has no hand and you use this ability during their draw phase, he or she puts the top card of his or her library into his or her graveyard instead of drawing a card. If it's an instant card, that player may play it. If that player has cards in hand, that player discards a card instead. If you control a Demon, that player loses 3 life."

I kinda think there's too many ifs...

Too many if's.
