If I have a {Thragtusk} on the field and I cast another one, do I gain 10 life? And if I then use {Restoration Angel} to shift one back, do I gain 10 life and also get 2 3/3s?

Correct, if the wording was"if a thragtusk etb's" then that would work.

So following the same logic, if I have 2 {Demonic Taskmaster}s out, I could sacrifice them both at the begining of my upkeep, because I used each one's ability on the other. Right?

yes. if they were the only two left you would have to sacrifice both of them.
