Wow you guys seem to really like the mimeoplasm commander decks. I think ive seen at least 5 of them on here and then another couple at my LGS. what's the big deal with him?

He's a really good commander for big multi-player games.

I think it boils down to 3 things that make him so popular:

1: colors. He has a damn good color combo for a commander that not many other generals offer.

2: Versatility. He can enter as anything in anyone's grave, letting you pick whatever you need at that moment, plus the counters to make him a physical threat even if you pick a utility effect like {acidic slime}. That is, in every way, a major plus.

3: Removal. He exiles stuff from graveyards. That big threat will never be brought back by an {artisan of kozilek}, and if you are facing a reanimator deck you can utterly cripple it.

It's just a flat out great card for the format.
