This may be the control player in me talking, but options are always good to have in magic.

Yeah I love options(control player pre avacyn release) I tryed to keep control but it never won me anything after avacyn every deck was too quick for me to handle in my meta so I'm build something I know works cause I played haunted humans back before I got into control<3

I feel your pain. Ive had to compromise by using the control elements of {frost titan} and {inferno titan} to counter the most aggro decks.
