Is it frowned upon to use cards like  {Winter Orb},  {Smoke},   {Static Orb}, and  {Crawlspace} in commander?

I don't see anything wrong with smoke or crawlspace. Winter or static orb are going to bring some serious hate your way, though.

Things that lock somebody's ability to play down are generally frowned upon like {Winter Orb}, {Iona, Shield of Emeria}, and  {Mindlock Orb}.
Side Note:
I just realized that all the orbs do interesting or annoying things: {Dispersing Orb}, {Mesmeric Orb}, {Orb of Dreams}, {Torpor Orb}, {Witchbane Orb}, {Zuran Orb}

so i guess messing with peoples critters is fine but dont mess with their ability to cast spells. good to know i guess i'll hold off on the wonter and static ord. thanks homies!

Though I think chaos is banned.

Remeber to bring  {Curse of Exhaustion} and  {Possibility Storm}

Just remember.  {Icy Manipulator} your  {Static Orb} at the end of your last opponents turn so you can untap all your stuff
