Ok trying to come up with good synergy cards to add counters to my new friend {slumbering dragon} aka Smaug.

{hunger of the howlpack}
{increasing savagery}
The miracle card forget name.

Anyone think of any good older cards to add +1/1 counters?  I am thinking of Red, Green, and maybe White.

I ran a database search. Here are some that I found:
{Amok}
{Dragon Blood}
{Forgotten Harvest}
{Hunting Triad} (reinforce)
{Quest for the Gemblades}
{Test of Faith}
{Unspeakable Symbol} (only card that lets you put many counters on at one time...of course for life.)

There were some other kind of good ones I guess. Some white ones let you pay WWX to put X counters on target creature...but it would end up costing too much mana for it to actually be useful.

Good old {Doubling Season} might be fun. Proliferate effects will help, even though most are blue/black, you can find some in green, and any color can use {Contagion Clasp} or {Contagion Engine}.  If you're willing to go a little combo crazy you can turn him into an artifact with something like {silverskin armor} or {liquimetal coating} and go pump crazy with {steel overseer}/{Unwinding Clock}.

I did consider the coating with overseer or modular like {archbound crusher} but does not seem that feasible.
