Okay, so if i have counters on a flip card, and it flips, does it loose those counters?

Millionlittlee

Well it's a different creature   But I don't know if they go

scarsabrex

no. though are you specifying transforming cards or the actual flip cards from
kamigawa. because some people get those confused. either way the counters are kept.

GoJuDragon

Sorry, i ment transformers, the innistrad and dka type

Coffee Vampire

Yeah, transforming isn't really getting a new creature (it doesn't have summoning sickness btw). It is iust like changing the stats. For instance:

{Nightsky Mimic} changes to a 4/4 flyer until end of turn. They could have made him a transform double sided card, but they didn't because it would be a hastle always flipping him. But it is the same idea: he obviously wouldn't lose any counters he had or any equipment.

It is the same with double sider transform cards (like delver!).

More than meets the eye!

These guys are usually referred to as DFC (double faced cards), but I call them Transformers too.  ;)

Like scars said, the creature changes properties, it never becomes a new creature.

GoJuDragon

Okay, thanks guys

Harmon74

Is it the same with the old "morph" cards from legions??  Just curious.

scarsabrex

yes it wotks the same with morph cards from onslaught block.

BlackJester

Jester's rule tip: if a morphed card leaves play and comes back ({Cloudshift}) it enters unmorphed. 😉

Similar for transformed and Kamagawa flipped cards.
