Regenerate from infect

I think most people have a problem with this because of the way {regenerate} is worded. They see "remove all damage" and instinctively want to remove the negative counters since that is the way a creature with infect "deals damage"

I can see why it could be confused. I believe infect cards say they deal their damage as -1/-1 counters. Perception varies.

techinically it is damage. But because its -1/-1 counters they stay on a regenerated creature because as someone said before it didnt go to the graveyard.

depends on the situation. there are just as many times when infect will put down undying for good as not.

The trick with this is that regeneration is that it creates a shield.  This shield "pops" when a creature would be destroyed.  Reducing a creature's P/T to 0/0 is not destroying it, it's a different State-based Effect.
