Well what deck? Bc honestly a deck like sneak and show (the deck I'm presuming you're talking about) can function off of basics and a steam vents but id suggest an island before a 3rd steam vents bc you use your life as a resource in that deck with Griselbrand.

Definitely sneak and show. Was iffy on the vents because of griselbrand

Ya they add up. I'm playing ANT without duals using shocks (2 grave, 1 vents) and it's been ok but definitely notice the damage lol

{Ad nauseum}, {daze}, and to a lesser extent {dark confidant}, and constantly playing against burn are the exceptions to shocks being decent replacements.

Running fetches for deck thinning isn't really a thing. You're paying 5% of your starting life total for less than a 1% improval of your chance to not draw a land.

Run fetches if you run Top, Brainstorm, or mana fixing.
