Flicker

I am going to my pre release tomorrow. Can someone please explain flicker. Is it used to block with a creature than flicker it so it doesn't take damage and die? What are the ways to play this mechanic? Thanks.

U can do that u can flicker A creature to fizzle a kill spell.  You can use it to change soul bonds and trigger etb effects
