Ghostly Prison VS Geist of Saint Taft

I have {Ghostly Prison} out and my opponent attacks with a {Geist of Saint Taft}. Would he pay 2 mana or 4? I think he would pay 4 because there are two attacking creatures, but he declares attack which brings in the Angel token. Thoughts?

In a slightly less roundabout way, you would only pay 2 mana because the token isnt declared as an attacker, it is there and attacking as a result of a triggered ability.
