Looking mostly for ideas on where to go with this deck. I have just started playing magic, so I don't have many cards and I know of a few that shouldn't be here already

Coolie2

I'll post a few responses to this deck as I see more things to fix.
To add: {Havengul Runebinder} x2
To Remove: {Unsummon} x2

Coolie2

I have also just noticed ur deck is 100 cards unless you want to play commander, which you can tell me (which I wouldn't personally recommend for new players) I will start trimming down to 60, and then I will continue with modifications

Coolie2

Make these adjustments before adding or removing other cards.
To add: {Dismal Backwater} x2
To Remove: {Island} x8 {Swamp} x2 (40% of a deck is the ideal amount of lands to have), {Squelching Leeches} x1 ({Squelching Leeches} is more of a mono black card, not ideal in this deck), {Crypt Creeper} X1 (over priced for its ability and power and toughness), {Skaab Goliath} x2 (over priced.), {Nivix Barrier} X1 (Meh.), {Terramorphic Expanse} x1 (Dismal Backwater is a better cheap land, but I will probably switch out a Dismal Backwater with another card by the time im done), {Mortus Strider} x2 (3 mana for a 1/1? DISGUSTING), {Terrus Wurm} x2 (No. Just no.), {Far//Away} x2 (honestly not that good of a fuse card), {Touch of the Moonglove} x2 (4 isn't needed), {Slum Reaper} x2 (while it punishes the enemy, you are also punished, and this so far isn't a graveyard deck. Also, too expensive), {Armored Skaab} x3 (you disgust me.), {Screeching Skaab} x4 (no.), {Read the Bones} x3 (definite stay if not for the loss of life), {Disperse} x1 (better name: wait two extra turns to die), {Tenacious Dead} x1 (bad zombie), {Gnawing Zombie} X1 (bad-der zombie), {Unholy Hunger} X1 (overpriced.), {Scrapskin Drake} x2 (good advice: DRAKES ARE BAD (usually)).

Make these adjustments, then make other adjustments such as the Unsummon switch out I recommended earlier, and after I see an updated deck list, I'll continue improving it if you wish

Coolie2

I will check the list every so often and update my post before this continuously

Ok, thanks, I agree most of the cards are overpriced, but I don't have many cards to choose from at the moment. So, changes won't be untill I can get to the nearest magic store to buy singles. So, at the moment, more looking for a direction then percoce critiquing of the deck, all I have to chose from is a fat pack and a intro green white deck and a few give aways from freinds. Hence {Dijnn of infinite deceits}
If you'd like, I have a clone of this deck with what I was hoping to do with it(go buy singles and such) and build?

Also, any particular reason to pair down on cards?? I am just playing casual, and I thought as long as you don't have 4 of the same and more than 60 you could have as many as you want. Not to mention, with how this deck is working at the moment(mildly self mill) i higher card count seemed to help.

Coolie2

The ards on my main removal list will brig ur deck to 60, the normally recommended amount...

Coolie2

Honestly {Touch of the Moonglove} isn't the best, so we only need 2. And as far as the card count comes, while commander is my new jam, new players shouldn't do 100 cards, especially singleton (aka commander :P) My plan after you cut your deck down was to remove more and have two of each of the better cards. I've made tons of decks that way for beginners, and they're usually sucessful. Again, I don't recommend going commander on this

What coolie is saying is that if you only have all 100 of your favorite cards, your games wont br consistent.. On the flip side however, if you have ~60 cards with ~20 lands then you will consistently be drawing into the cards that you need

Its also good to have more than 1 copy of your cards.  If you only have 1 of each card in a 100 card deck, then there is only a 1/100 chance that you draw it... But if you have 2-4 of each card in a 60 card deck, then you can have a 1/15 chance of drawing all of your best cards :)

That being said, look at the deck you made. Think of how much that you would REALLY need that specific card. If you do need it, then put in more, if you dont, then consider cutting it from the deck.

I hope this helped :)

The reason I had the slum reapers in there was because of a lot of my return to hand cards when dead or regenerate creatures or ect

AMCMechanic

I also did a clone of my deck, as I haven't changed it yet, I also want to keep my old card list as it does work fairly well against my freinds, so I posted my clone for a 60 card set up
